Game gave me a foul although I was on the correct shot

I was on the correct shot but the game a foul on color ball, happened thrice now on random games, even my opponent was surprised

Hi,

There is a bug where coming back from POV view with right mouse button click can unintentionally nominate a colour, usually the blue, which is at or near the centre of the table. If this happens and the player does not notice it, hitting another colour will be a foul.

This bug will be solved in the next release.

I've encountered that issue but this wasn't that, blue did not get select on its own, it was that I was on a color and it gave me a foul when I played it

The screenshot says "Foul and a miss", which indeed indicates that another ball was nominated, not the one you hit. Probably it was the black you hit, so you got 7 penalty points. I believe it is the same bug but you didn't notice the blue being nominated.
