Along the same lines as my pal G have you ever met or played snooker with someone on the pro tour or a past pro player?
How did that go?
My uncle and I once beat Eddie Charlton and the state pool champion as a team in a double's exhibition match. That was way back in the late 70's / early 80's but I have never forgotten it. Nice fellas both of them but we were on fire that day. Nothing's changed a lot of luck and some seriously jammy shots which Eddie was known for too.
Have you ever played a recognised champion of the real game?

Re: Have you ever played a recognised champion of the real game?
Many moons ago When I lived in Sudbury, Ontario I worked in a pool hall/club. 9 ball, 8 ball and snooker tables with a bar. The owner was a recognized Canadian player and friends with many top notch players. One of which was Cliff Thorburn who would visit often. Ive been very fortunate to have these gents as mentors in real life and played my first cent when playing against Cliff. 95 and blue on....cue shaking...knees knocking...sweat pouring. Cliff stopped me and had me sit down to have a smoke. Halfway through the ciggie he says "get up and make the shot". So I did...made the shot and got that damn first cent obstacle out of the way. A memory forever!!!

Oh, the great Cliff Thorburn, the player getting the most famous fluke in snooker history!
