What do you drive / ride

Post by BIG-G »

Just out of interest what method of transport do you use.

I have a 2023 Ford Focus Estate and my fun means of getting around is a 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400.

Still driving my 2009 Camry and it has not missed a beat. Dings in most panels from carparks but still mechanically sound only 230k on the clock and will probably keep going longer than I do. New car prices are disgusting here at the mo and I really don't do much travel so not worth shelling out 20-30k for a new version with more bs under the bonnet that I can't service myself.

Mate between you and G it sounds like risky business. Never even attempted to drive a truck. Working in insurance heard some nasty stories about batteries exploding in electric scooters and setting fire to places. Had some really bad experiences with motorbikes that almost landed me in jail. I think I'll just run my trusty Camry until it decides to die but like I said it's more likely I will go before it does!!

All good leave it to you young fellas and I won't even say I told you so.

Driven all sorts over the years, now more sedate in my RR (well I do have to dream), it is a DD and that's not my bra size but a Dacia Duster now just 3 years old. Unlike Dean it has just over 14k miles on the clock. Until recently my fun vehicle was a Honda 350cc quad bike that I used to marshall Cross Bay Walks in Morecambe Bay. Also came in handy when fishing with my mate and logging in the local woods. Sadly the sea salt did it no favours and the sub frame rusted away. Enjoy your motors/bikes etc folks.
