Cliff Thorburn. As a Canadian he is a source of pride in the snooker world and first player from outside of the UK to win the World Snooker Championship during the sport's modern era in 1980. Had the pleasure of meeting him and playing him many times over a couple years when I still lived in Ontario...

Many moons ago When I lived in Sudbury, Ontario I worked in a pool hall/club. 9 ball, 8 ball and snooker tables with a bar. The owner was a recognized Canadian player and friends with many top notch players. One of which was Cliff Thorburn who would visit often. Ive been very fortunate to have these...
