Playing unrated

Post by Phil_Morecambe »

Hi guys,

I know I should not care about rank or rating, however, I will play anyone. I like to encourage new players and I am willing to play and offer tips BUT and it is a BIG BUT. Some who appear to be new with ranks like 600 or greater suddenly play like they are really good.

How about a third lobby where people can play with no impact on rank or rating, I for one would be happy to help others to master this great game.

I hear what you are saying Phil but while the game is free take the good with the bad. It is a fact of life that some folks will take advantage of this so do what I do. Right at the moment nobody cares about your rating because it doesn't count towards anything. When the real game gets going, we will sort out the pretenders but in the meanwhile just play whoever you like and be comfortable in the fact that you are a good player occasionally getting taken down by someone who feels the need to rort the system. I'm looking forward to the day when a player's rating is a good indicator of their abilities. Right now, it means nothing if they are a highly skilled player deliberately sitting low or they may be a highly skilled player who plays their higher skilled friend often. Think about that next time we play. There are some very highly skilled players in the red zone who are only there because their best mate rarely misses but they keep trying. The system doesn't lie but if you feel someone is targeting you by all means let me know.

Maybe it says a lot bout me and my view of fair play. I hear what you say Wiz but remember that fairness in life is what makes the world a better place.
