Free 3d view help

hi,
is there any tutorial to learn free 3d view?
I can not pan around at the table freely. Seems like the view is pivoting on the one corner of the table only.

The "3D Free View" topic in the tutorial mode explains the basic controls:
middle mouse button (mouse wheel) drag: rotate and tilt te view
right mouse button drag: move the camera
mouse wheel: zoom in / out
It is also possible to do all the above with the left mouse button and keys:
SHIFT + left mouse button drag: rotate and tilt te view
CTRL + left mouse button drag: move the camera
SHIFT + CTRL + left mouse button: zoom in / out
The SHIFT and CTRL keys can be released when the left mouse button is pressed and held down at the start of the camera view change operation.
