why can't I put together a break anymore?

Dear experienced players
ever since the last update, I cannot seem to put together any type of decent break. My long pots are a disaster. The cushions have magnets in them, ruining my positional play. My opponents, on the other hand, seem to pot balls with greater ease than ever.
Now, I'm sure all of this is due to myself and not that update
My question is: what can I do to turn things around again??? At one point, my rating was above 1400. I've tumbled back down to 1207 at the moment, but there doesn't appear to be a bottom...
