Hi folks. I work full time for an organisation here in Perth WA and they have a social event coming up on Friday. It is lawn bowls, and this place is very liberal you can bowl barefoot if you like.

Q: I have gone on YouTube and seen the suggestions of how to bowl a good ball but has anyone here ever played and have any tips for a first timer?

Make sure you hold the bowl the right way round or it can be very embarrassing !

Thanks, mate. My very first ball I trailed the jack, and I just got it from the get-go. Bowled the matchwinner in 4 of 9 ends and my best one was knocking out their match winner on the very last ball and leaving mine sitting right on it. Theye was like "you said you had never played" and not sure they believed I hadn't. Was an awesome night.
