What is the difference , if any, besides the calibre of players, between Pro and Club ? Are the tables the same?

Great that you are enjoying the game mate. I can't give a professional opinion but just from experience you need to be a little more accurate in Pro the pockets are less forgiving than in club

The pockets on Pro are tighter and also the error margins are wider. On Pro you will have to rely more on good positioning.
